Today I'll talk about cosmetology and present you a product that I love: the essential oil of Tea Tree .
Cosmetology is the art of being beautiful with natural products free of chemicals, usually with homemade recipes (or so-called "grandma recipes"). It is very interesting to incorporate such products into your daily beauty routine because of cosmetology has many advantages 1) it is very economical 2) it is good for the body / health and the environment 3 ) these products have proven their effectiveness for decades or even centuries (yes I know it's hard to believe that Sephora has NOT always existed!).
Well natural products as well as organic products have a major disadvantage, generally it does not smell good we can even say that it frankly stinks.
Today I'll talk about this little marvel : the essential oil of Tea Tree. Tea tree is a tree that grows in Australia. Used for thousands of years by the Aborigines to accelerate circulation and healing the essential oil that is extracted is a powerful antibacterial and antiseptic.
It can be used in two different ways:
- on the skin :
· either directly on a pimple or imperfection you must place one or two drops on a cotton swab and then very gently tap the pimple (a much more aggressive alternative - and less organic - is to place one or two drops of nail solvent on a cotton swab, effective but not very healthy)
· mix few drops in a facial or body cream and apply it on a fungus or eczema or more generally on irritated skin
- on the teeth : this is my favorite way to use it! once a day (no more!) place one to two drops on your toothbrush where you have already placed your toothpaste.Whitening effect assured. Your mouth is fresh and clean, your teeth are whiter. Personally, despite my high consumption of coffee, I keep my teeth white. Here is the result on me (no chemical treatment):
I advise you to use it preferably PURE and ORGANIC. Be carefully beacause it does not smell good, and it gives a very special taste to the mouth for a few minutes so avoid give a kiss to boo after using it!!
Where to buy it?
Usually in cosmetology and / or aromatherapy shops (it's quite difficult to find), I buy it on http://www.aroma-zone.com (2 € 90 the 10 ml, 5 € 50 30 ml, 12 ml € 100)
The Body Shop also offers a range of products using tea tree http://www.thebodyshop.fr/par-gamme/arbre-a-the.aspx including a "tea tree oil" however be aware that it is not pure (only 15% of essential oil of tea tree) but it is still a good alternative if you can not stand the smell of pure essential oil.
